Dr Jarman is an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist and expert witness, providing medico-legal reports since 2006.
She previously worked within the NHS as a Consultant Psychiatrist and served as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Hull and York Medical School.
Dr Jarman has been instructed in high-profile cases, including the Grenfell Tower Fire, the Manchester Arena Bombing, and the Hillsborough Disaster. She has also provided expert reports for the Lambeth Redress Scheme and worked with the Home Office on resettlement schemes. Her medico-legal expertise extends to family and care proceedings, safeguarding and capacity assessments, and tribunal appearances concerning disability living allowance and employment disputes.
She has extensive experience in personal injury cases, medical negligence claims, and employment tribunal disputes. Her specialist areas of interest include chronic pain, bodily distress and somatoform disorders, and functional neurological disorders.
Dr Jarman is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and remains up to date with professional development and training.
