Dr Dina Gazizova is a Consultant in Psychiatry of Intellectual Disabilities and a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
She has specialist training and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders and adult ADHD.
Dr Gazizova has extensive experience assessing mental capacity in individuals with intellectual disabilities in both community and inpatient settings. Her medico-legal expertise includes capacity assessments for Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA), testamentary capacity, capacity to litigate, capacity for sexual relationships, and capacity to marry. She has prepared reports and given evidence for Mental Health Review Tribunals and Manager Hearings, and she regularly liaises with the Ministry of Justice as part of her NHS role.
Approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act and recognised as an Approved Clinician (AC), Dr Gazizova is a member of the London S12/AC Advisory Panel. She is also an examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists and the Faculty of Medicine at Imperial College London. Her academic contributions include publications in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals.
